NASA: MISSION BIOME
Part of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Earth Observatory, this site provides an introduction to the distinctive characteristics of the world's major biomes.   Includes maps, statistics, and links to more web sites within each article. See the interactive games.

EVERGREEN PROJECT: MBGnet
Presents information on all of the world's biomes and describes what they are like, where they exist, and the plants and animals for each. Web site is part of an online project from the Missouri Botanical Garden.
